This week, to kick off the new year, I’ve got my glorious pal Louise Westra on to expand on some of the things I talk about on the podcast. From a professional perspective.
We talk the mind-body connection, the ‘gut-brain axis’. We talk about how your low mood might be linked to something totally different to what you think it is and how curiosity is so important. We also talk about putting YOU first and how we don’t need new years resolutions we need revolutions!
Louise is passionate about helping women to harness their biology to create the health & resilience they need and deserve for the life they dream of. She wants women to stop settling for mediocre when it comes to their health and the ageing process.
Louise has been a Naturopath for the last 16 years, collaborating with very driven women (and men) to build and then sustain the best health of their life. This means being consistently energetic, hormonally balanced with an immune system we can rely on.
Not only that but she’s living proof that, with the right support as we age chronologically and move up the levels, we can move from dragging ourselves through the day to having a reserve of energy that will allow us a whole other level of vitality and joie de vivre.
During the last 9 years she has been a magazine columnist and featured in The Sunday Times magazine, Conde Nast Traveller, Red, The Sun, The Daily Mail, Psychologies, Glamour, Health & Fitness to name a few and won Tatler awards for retrieving “mojos” and for being the best health “fixer”.
When she’s not working she can usually be found looking for sunshine, swimming, playing tig with her 11 year old biological son and adopted 5 year old, or chilling with a glass of Menorcan rosé. Sometimes she even eat chocolate .
In short, she knows her stuff!
I hope this episode helps you look at things a little differently. Particularly if you’ve hopped onto the shame train of new years resolutions. Time for a reframe!
